Our latest Underwriting Rules Release (live on the 12th November) sees key updates as part of our on-going mission to continually evolve and improve the customer journey on the Protection Platform.

Here's what new:

1. We’ve removed the high-level Coronavirus question

And will now ask customers about ‘Long COVID’ via the following male and female specific question:

2. We've improved the following answer option list for customers who disclose "Diabetes, borderline diabetes, pre-diabetes, raised blood sugar or sugar in the urine”…

The change here combines the “Impaired glucose tolerance” and “Impaired fasting glucose” options, and importantly sees the addition of “Raised blood sugar” to fully align to its reference in the high-level question wording.

3. Following adviser feedback, we've improved the wording of the "awaiting" questions to remove repetitive references to "referral, investigation, or surgery", as shown in the below example:
